Chota Bheem – Bheem is the hero of the story. He is an intelligent nine year old boy from Dholakpur and possesses some extraordinary power. This power saves Dholakpur and all its residents from all the dangers that the village faces. He saves everybody from their problems. He has a sweet tooth and has a special interest for Laddoos. It is also popularly believed that the Laddoos give him the extreme power in which he operates. He is mostly seen with three of his close friends; Chutki, a monkey named Jaggu and Raju. Chutki is the one who always offers him the laddoos.
Chutki – Bheem’s best friend, Chutki is a seven year old who comes across as a very gentle and lovable character. However, her characterisation differs in portions. Sometimes she is shown as a strong person who acts rough and tough during demanding situations, whereas sometimes she is shown as a person greedy for getting gold. She always offers laddoos for her friend, Bheem. She carries a special place for Bheem in her heart and helps him in all the adventures which he undertakes, as seen in “Pirates of the ship” and “Hercules”.
Raju – He is a cute four year old boy, whose father serves as the Senapati in the army of the King. He is too courageous for his age and he considers Bheem as his idol. He is a great in archery and was awarded the Arjuna Cup. He played the hero in “Mighty Raju”. He is shown as a boy who nurses the ambition of becoming a Senapati just like this father.
Jaggu Bandar – The monkey, Jaggu is shown as yet another close friend of Bheem. Jaggu has a wonderful sense of humour and has wonderful tricks in his sleeve to solve complex problems. He helps Bheem in many adventures and both of them as a team help many people in distress. He teaches Bheem the art of jumping between trees and he helps Bheem by stealing laddoos for him. He protects all the animals in the forest and enjoys that role. He also performs any mischievous acts on Bheem’s enemies, Kalia, Dholu and Bholu.
Ustaad Khalia – Khalia Pehalwan, is a ten year old boy who is the main enemy of Bheem. He tries to embarrass Bheem and his friends many a times but fails in all his attempts. He is sometimes seen in the company of two followers, Bholu and Dholu. However in cases of common problems when the village of Dholakpur is in trouble, Khali joins hands with Bheem in rescue operations.
Dholu and Bholu – These are twins who are the followers of Khalia. They come across as hot headed while moving with other kids and they are not exactly strong enough to face battles alone. Sometimes Bheem and his friends easily take Dholu and Bholu on their team by offering them some bribes. Therefore, these twins are not always shown as being dedicated to Khalia.
Pehalwan Kichak–Kichak comes across as a person who is jealous of Bheem because of the latter’s reputation and popularity. Though Kichak is a professional wrestler from the place of Pehalwanpur, he was defeated by Bheem in many occasions like a bull race, hockey match, football match and a cricket match. He has a team consisting of Chipru, Manna, Motu and Birju, with whom he plans all the nasty tricks. In the movie, “Bheem vs. Aliens, Kichak is seen as helping Bheem in his efforts. He was seen supporting and offering advice to one of the participants in the episode, “Girls vs. Girls”, however later, he smartly moved out of the show.
Chota Mannu – He is shown as Kichak’s help. Like Kichak, he is also from Pehalwanpur and is very strong in body. Though he is quite small, he is portrayed as a very strong kid. He considers Bheem’s close aid Raju and he has lost all the matches that he competed against Raju.
Rajkumari Indumathi –She is the princess of Dholakpur and along with Chutki, won the Girls vs. Girls trophy. She is seen as a very gentle and soft spoken person.
Raja Indravarma – He is Dholakpur’s king and is the father of Indumathi Rajkumari. He is shown as a person of 35 years. He is a wise, learned and a strong person, however during crisis situations, he asks Bheem for suggestions. Raja Chandravarma is seen as Raja Indravarma’s enemy. “Chota Bheem: The Rise of Kirmada” is the movie which gives these details about Raja Indravarma.
Daku Mangal Singh – Mangal Singh was a big level dacoit. The whole village of Dholakpur was petrified because of him. Once when Bheem went to take some herbs for curing the princess’s health, he caught the dacoit. However with the help of friends, Daku Mangal Singh became free. He was again caught by Bheem. The episode of “Old Enemies” shows about the Daku again coming back to scare Dholakpur and Bheem catching him again. In the episode of “greed” he became a petty thief.
Dhooni Baba – He is a Rishi who takes shelter in his caves. Sometimes his body is fully covered in ash and he is shown mediating strangely on needles, whereas sometimes, he is seen walking along with a walking stick. He has good premonition powers and has helped Bheem and his followers in many efforts. Bheem and his help, Raju were given powers to become super heroes for a day. Baba’s help and advice to Bheem is seen in many episodes like “Curse of Brahmabhatt”, “Chota Bheem Aur Krishna”, ”Daku Mangal Singh” and “King Chandravarma”.
Tun-Tun Mausi – She is Chutki’s mother and owns a laddoo shop. Bheem always steals laddoos from here therefore Tun-Tun-Mausi is angry with Bheem most of the times. Whenever he steals laddoos, Mausi hits him with a belan.
Professor Shastri Dhoom Ketoo – He is a famous inventor who is said to live in Gyanpur. His popular inventions include a super-fast bicycle, hot air balloon, time machine etc. However he always has the knack of getting into problems with his inventions, either because his inventions get burgled or they don’t function when they have to. Earlier, his role was played by Avi Chacha, however Professor Shastri Dhoom Ketoo replaced him in the later stages.
Behen Shivani – Shivani is the foster sister of Bheem and is based out of Pehalwanpur. The Dhaba that she runs there is called Shivani Ka Dhaba. She is constantly threatened by Dabbu who plans to take over the Dhaba from her. She is also in dire need of 500 coins for freeing her father from prison. Bheem saves her from all her miseries; she saves her from Dabbu and also sets her father free. As a gratitude for that, Shivani is seen supporting Bheem’s team during the episodes of “20-20 Cricket” and “Chota Bheem vs. Aliens”.
Avi Chacha - He was originally seen as an inventor in the initial episodes. However in the later stages, he got replaced by Professor Shastri Dhoom Ketoo.
Daggu – He is Jaggu’s cousin brother and very envious about Bheem because of the latter’s popularity. He is also quite naughty and can be seen in the episode, “Jaggu Daggu Bhai Bhai”.
Appu – Appu, an elephant is Bheem’s and his friend’s pet. Appu is seen in the episode, “Chota Bheem: Master of Shaolin”.
Babban – Babban is a tiger that resides in the jungle and scares people in Dholakpur. He sometimes disturbs Bheem, but he sometimes helps him too.
